Leo Selzler
Leo has spent decades studying and practicing Buddhism across several traditions. Beginning in his teens, his path has included Soto Zen training at Shasta Abbey in California, Pali scripture studies at Wat Dhammabucha in Texas, and more than 15 years of practice within the Tibetan Nyingma tradition. Today, he continues independent study with a focus on Chinese and Korean Chan and Pure Land Buddhism.
A longtime local resident, Leo is known for his gentle presence, kindness, and care for both people and animals—including the miniature goats of Zoetic River. An accomplished artist working in many mediums, he leads art classes, facilitates silent retreats, and shares insights shaped by a lifetime of contemplative practice and creative exploration.
