Kayak Use & Safety Agreement

By checking out a kayak, I acknowledge that kayaking is a voluntary activity and that I am responsible for determining whether I can safely participate.

I confirm that I am physically able to:

• Safely carry or launch the kayak into the river without assistance.
• Enter and exit the kayak independently.
• Paddle and return to the designated launch area safely under my own ability.

While using Zoetic River equipment, I agree to:

• Follow all instructions provided by Zoetic River staff.
• Remain within designated kayaking areas.
• Immediately notify staff if the kayak or equipment appears damaged or becomes unsafe.
• Return the kayak to the designated storage area.
• Return it in the same condition in which it was received, allowing for normal wear and tear.
• Place the kayak upside down (face down) on the storage rack unless instructed otherwise by staff.

I agree not to use the kayak if river conditions, weather, or my physical condition make it unsafe to do so.

This agreement supplements the Zoetic River Participation Agreement & Liability Waiver. By checking this acknowledgment, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to both this Kayak Use & Safety Agreement and the Zoetic River Participation Agreement & Liability Waiver.
